Three cross silhouettes against a golden dawn sky rising over warm-brown mountains

In him was life, and the life was the light of all people.

— John 1:4 (RSV)

Each week I share the Sunday lectionary — the First Reading, Second Reading, and Gospel — as a short video, with an overview and explanation grounded in Church teaching. Alongside the readings, Visions of Faith brings short reflections and true stories of how grace finds us in everyday life. And a quiet community prayer wall, for anyone looking for a softer light.

Every Week

Scripture, word for word.

Each week I present the Sunday lectionary — First Reading, Second Reading, and Gospel — word for word, exactly as the Church reads it. Then a brief explanation grounded in what the Church has always taught.

Visions of Faith

How faith finds us.

The first story is my own — how faith found me. I'd guess your path has its own moments that shaped you, the way mine shaped me. The honest, sometimes ordinary ways grace breaks in are what builds this work into something bigger than any one of us.

The Prayer Wall

Cast it into the light.

Submit a prayer to a community of people who are praying with you. Quiet, anonymous, ephemeral — your words held in the light and then released to it.

About Tom

I'm Tom.

I'm a believer with a deep love for the Word of God. I started Life's Light Shared as a way to make the Sunday readings cinematic, beautiful, and accessible — without changing a single word the Church has been reading for centuries.

Every video uses AI assistance to bring Scripture to a wider audience, but every word is verified against the NABRE and reviewed by me before it goes live. The work is mine. The Word is the Church's. The invitation is to anyone.
